:: KADD-FM Air Staff

Johnathan Doll
Jonathan is a broadcast professional who's been fired from some of the finest radio stations in the country. Before arriving here, Jonathan did mornings at KKRW Houston, K-EARTH 101 Los Angeles and WZPL Indianapolis. He also was on the original airstaff at KEGL Dallas, and 96KX Pittsburgh. Billboard magazine awarded him "Air Personality of the Year" twice, and he was named one of the five best radio personalities in the country in the Drake Chenault Top 5 Talent Search. Jonathan's comedy background also includes stand-up (he was one of the first comics on Star Search), and he writes for several comedians, including Jay Leno.

Mary Tylaska
In one of her former lives, Mary Tylaska was an A-list concubine of Julius Caesar. Thousands of years have since passed, but her penchant for short, balding men with imperialistic tendencies remains to this day. Adopting the moniker "Berlin Bertha," Mary began her illustrious radio career in 1942, broadcasting Allied propaganda into enemy territory on an all-polka station. In the years following the war she traveled the globe, eventually winding up at heritage Rock station KLBJ-FM in Austin, Texas. After joining the Witness Protection Program, Mary migrated north to Dallas and soon began taking up valuable space at Country kicker KYNG-FM. She counts among her many hobbies housecat taxidermy and toenail clipping sculpture. Mary's future plans include world domination, and having her remains cremated and shot into space.

Steve Nichols
Steve Nichols has made good use of his college degree. A Graduate with a double major in Radio-TV Communication and Sociology, it's no wonder Steve has a special way of capturing the attention of his audience each weekday. "Since the majority of my audience is female, I kinda like for them to think of me as the guy they can laugh at," says Steve. "I'm guilty of doing the same stupid things as their husbands and boyfriends!"

A native of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, Steve graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX, and soon began a radio career which took him to several stations in the Dallas market. His radio experience includes on-air stints at CHR/Top 40 powerhouse KEGL-FM, and AOR legends KZEW-FM and KTXQ-FM. He also was Operations Manager for Classic Rock KZPS-FM and Production Director at Y-95.

A sports fanatic, Steve spends as much time as possible taking his teenage son to games. Their goal is to visit every Major League Baseball park in America. But baseball (or any other game) is out for Saturday nights -- that's when Steve hosts "Retro Saturday Night," five hours of the best of the 80's. He lives in Coppell, Texas, with his wife Heather Clarke - who works on Country Coast-to-Coast's Morning Show!

Dan Lopez
The guy who couldn't keep quiet in class...the guy who always had a "quick quip" for everything (imagine if Chandler from Friends had an older brother)...the guy that everybody said, "Gee, you should be on the radio!"

Well, everybody, be careful what you wish for.

Raised in California and Florida, Dan's love of music started him dabbling in radio while in college at Florida State. He was immediately hooked (leaving 8 hours short of a degree in Communications, but would come back to finish, right Mom & Dad??). He has worked on-air in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas and Miami, taking a couple of years off to pursue a graduate degree in in English.

Working at Today's Best Hits is not really work to Dan: "Playing great music, talking with fellow music fans (listeners)...this has to be one of the best 'jobs' in the world." Dan is an avid road cyclist (this is the only time you'll catch him wearing spandex), believes that The Simpsons is still the funniest thing on TV, and has been known to drive miles for good Chinese cuisine.

Mike Wade
Not that Mike Wade has been a broadcaster forever, but the last new headphones he bought was during the Nixon administration, certifying him as one of the oldest and cheapest members of the air staff.

Mike has worked in Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and New York. He’s hosted "Night Time America," a live nationally syndicated radio show, and has done voice-work for way too many companies to mention. He studied acting and improvisation at HB Studio in Manhattan, where he also dabbled in writing and performing sketch comedy.

After learning dabbling was illegal in New York state, he relocated to the station for The Best Hits and the Best Variety. Mike lives with his wife, daughters, and drum set.

Dave Perry
David is definitely enjoying the ride on Today's Best Hits!

He says his inspiration to get into radio came from listening to Los Angeles jocks during the late 1970s.

His first radio job was in 1981 at a Top 40 station in Silsbee, Texas. He eventually moved on to KWIC in Beaumont, Texas as a program director and air talent. On the weekends, he worked on the for Houston's KKBQ. Other stations include nationally syndicated Z-Rock as "Dave Bolt" and Classic Rock KZPS-FM, Dallas, Texas.

And now he entertains you at Today's Best Hits! (Check out Dave's site here.)

He enjoys Web design, mountain biking, reading, music, and stacking all his pennies.

Rick Burton
Rick started his radio career at KNUS-FM in Dallas, TX in the late 70’s. He also worked nights at KIX 106 in Dallas before doing Evenings at KXKX-FM in Galveston, TX & afternoons at KZOM-FM Beaumont, TX where he was the stations music director.

Rick Moved back to Dallas to do nights at legendary Rocker KTXQ-FM Q102 where he spent 13 years.

Rick’s dream is to write a mega hit song and retire on it!

Johnny Wolfe
Johnny Wolfe has gone through his radio career with some interesting nicknames. In his first on-air radio job at WNCI in Columbus, Ohio, he was an air traffic reporter called "Crash." He was dubbed "Captain Carl" at WMGG in Columbus.

When he's not on the air, Jonathan has a passion for watching sports. During his stint at WBNS in Columbus, he produced on-air sporting events from Ohio State University and International League Baseball games.

This Columbus native also boasts about an ability to stand on his head for long periods of time and having an addiction to double cheeseburgers.
